The Barnelopet is a ski/walk event for children 3-13 years old.

Everyone is a winner! It is a great outdoor family event.

2025 will mark the 26th year for the

Barnelopet in Decorah.

Barnelopet 2025

Barnelopet 2025 will be held Saturday, February 1. It is sponsored by Vesterheim Museum, Jon and Mary Hart, our lodge (Valheim) as well as the Lanesboro (Heimbygda) and Decorah (Valdres) lodges.

Thanks to the Hardt's generous donation, the event is FREE.

Open to all 3-13 year olds, but you must bring your own skis.
